Turbine and compound meters provide long-life and high precision measurement for high volume services. The turbines throated inlet increases low flow sensitivity that assures maximum revenue with low pressure loss. Damage caused by debris, typical of high volume installations is reduced by a design that incorporates space to allow passage of many suspended solids. The top AWWA Class II turbine meters include bronze-case sizes 1½" to 8"; 1½" to 6" meters epoxy coated, 10" to 12" cast iron-case; and the lightweight aluminum case 3" fire hydrant meter for temporary water services.
Compound meters offer a revenue assuring choice, where service flow extend from high to low. These compound meters incorporate a positive displacement meter with a turbine meter, offering unparalleled accuracy throughout the flow range.
